Abstract

Det finns i dagsläget flera publikationer som handlar om relationen mellan företag och kommun och vad företagen anser är viktigt för att de ska uppleva att de har en bra relation till sin kommun. Ofta skriver rapporterna om företag eller lantbruksföretag som en enhetlig grupp. Vad mjölkföretagare som en specifik grupp anser är viktig, finns det inte lika mycket skrivet om. Det kommer det här examensarbetet att fokusera på.

Uppsatsens material bygger främst på intervjuer med mjölkföretagare och kommunanställda. För att komplettera och tolka materialet har även tidigare studier använts. Trots ett begränsat urval av kommuner och mjölkföretag som ingår i uppsatsen går det att utläsa tydliga tendenser på skillnader och likheter. Dels gäller det i förhållande till de tidigare studier som gjorts men även emellan de undersökta kommunerna.

En viktig del för att uppnå en bra relation till kommunen anser företagen är att ha en personlig kontakt med kommunen och inte genom organisationer. Företagen anser det även viktigt att att kommunen har en bra inställning och attityd till dem och att kommunen ser dem som en tillgång och inte som ett problem.

Efter intervjuerna går det att konstatera att det finns en del saker som kommunerna kan arbeta med för att förbättra, för att gynna mjölkföretagen. Ett exempel på det är att kommunen tar initiativ till nätverkande mellan företag. Företagen efterfrågar även mer rådgivning och färre krav vid tillsynen.

It is known that there are differences in the rules and the applications between the different Swedish municipalities, which has been shown in several reports. Often these reports write about companies or agricultural companies as a unified group, but there is not as much written about what the differences between the municipalities mean for the milk farmers. That is what this thesis will focus on.

Despite a limited sample of municipalities and milk companies included in the study, it is possible to see differences and similarities between the municipalities. The differences can be seen in relation to the previous studies and also between the municipalities. The material in this thesis is based primarily on interviews with milk farmers and municipal employees. To supplement and interpret the material, previous studies have been used. The previous studies demonstrates what similarities there are linked to this study but mostly it shows the differences that exist. Differences that may show tendencies that characterize milk companies in relation to other companies.

One aspect that the milk farmers talk a lot about is the importance of having a direct contact with the local authority and not via organizations, such as LRF. The municipality´s attitude and approach to the milk companies are also belived to be importante to create a good relationship. To achieve a good relationship with the municipality, the companies consider it important to obtain a personal relationship.

After the interviews, it is possible to conclude that there are some things that municipalities can work on to improve for the benefit of milk companies, for example to initiate networks between companies. More advice instead of requirements in connection with supervision is also something that is desired from the milk companies.
