Abstract

Övergödning är ett problem som sträcker sig över hela jordklotet. Det har bland annat resulterat i igenväxta sjöar, syrefria bottnar samt ökad tillväxt av cyanobakterier som förgiftar vattendrag. Det är något som påverkar oss människor, andra levande organismer och som sätter press på befintliga ekosystem. Uppsatsen syftar till att uppmärksamma övergödning och hur den påverkar våra vattendrag. Genom att gestalta med naturvägledning kan övergödningsproblematiken på våra vatten belysas och då bidra med en ökad miljömedvetenhet. Gestaltningsförslaget bidrar med konkreta exempel som minskar näringstillförsel till vattendrag. Informationsinsamling och analyser på plats resulterade i två gestaltningsförslag för att uppmärksamma övergödning, (1) en vandringsled runt Bålsjön och (2) ett område med flera exempel på hur näringstillförseln till Bålsjön kan reduceras. För de som nyttjar Bålsjön kan förslaget ge inspiration till åtgärder runt sjön och hur den kan tillgängliggöras för fler. Förslaget belyser övergödningsproblematiken på våra vatten som förmedlas med naturvägledning.

Eutrophication is a problem all over the globe. It results, for instance, in overgrown lakes, oxygen-free beds and increased amount of cyanobacteria that poisons the waters. It affects humans as well as other living organisms which puts pressure on existing ecosystems. This essay aims to examine eutrophication and how it affects our waters. By designing with heritage interpretation, the problems of how eutrophication affects our waters can be illuminated and contribute with increased consciousness of the environment. Gathering detailed information and conducting an on-site analysis resulted in two designed proposals that will examine eutrophication. (1) A walking trail around the lake Bålsjön and (2) an area with several examples of how the fertilization can be decreased into the Bålsjö lake. The designed propositions are aimed to inspire users of the Bålsjö lake to take action and improve both the health of the natural aspects of the lake and the accessibility for the public. The proposition illuminates the problem of eutrophication of our waters and it will be mediated with heritage interpretation.
