Abstract

Under det senaste seklet har bostadsgårdar för flerfamiljshus genomgått flertal förändringar gällande aspekterna funktion, rymlighet och naturkontakt. Med tiden har Stockholm, precis som andra svenska städer, planerats med olika synsätt och perspektiv vilket påverkat stadens utformning. Funktionalismen uppstod med ljus, öppna ytor och funktioner i huvudfokus medan miljonprogrammets fokus låg på att så snabbt som möjligt minska den dåvarande bostadsbristen. Under 2010-talet trädde de ekologiska perspektiven fram och förtätning blev en central del vid stadsplaneringen. Genom en litteraturöversikt och två platsstudier redovisades en jämförelse mellan seklets olika bostadsgårdar utifrån funktion, rymlighet och naturkontakt, detta samtidigt som en förklaring till varför dessa ändringar har skett. Studien utfördes med syfte att fungera som grund för fortsatt undersökning kring framtida projekt inom det valda ämnet.

In the past century, residential yards have gone through several changes regarding function, space, and nature. With time, Stockholm has just like any other city been planned with different perspectives, which has impacted the city’s shape and form. The functionalism arose with brightness, open spaces and functions in the primary focus, while the focus of the million programme was to minimize the housing shortages of that time. During the 2010s, the environmental issues evolved and urban growth became a central part of urban planning. A litterature study and two case studies show a comparison between the different residential yards of the three eras, as well as an explanation to why these changes has occured. The study was conducted with the purpose of giving additional grounds for future projects within the chosen subject.
