Abstract

Den här studien syftar till att undersöka hur unga kan inkluderas i medborgardialoger genom att studera en medskapandeprocess med fokus på unga, som utfördes i samband med upprustningen av Lina Sandells park. Genom intervjuer och en dokumentgranskning har studien kunnat konkretisera ungdomars effekt på gestaltningen genom att redovisa ungdomarnas önskemål i dialogen samt deras önskemåls representation i den slutgiltiga gestaltningen. Studien undersöker vidare hur faktorer som engagemang, makt och tillit påverkat dialogens utformning, och jämför det med Sveriges kommuner och regioners principer för en meningsfull ungdomsdialog. Resultaten visar på en situationsanpassad ungdomsdialog med hög grad av inflytande. I diskussionsavsnittet lyfts ungdomarnas effekt på utformningen av Lina Sandells park samt hur ungdomarnas önskemål ligger i linje med deras behov av tillgången till offentliga rum för att kunna umgås, leka och utvecklas.

This study aims to investigate how youth can be included in a citizens’ dialogue by studying a creative participatory process with a focus on young people, which was implemented in the renovation of Lina Sandell’s park. Through interviews and document review, the study has been able to make a concretisation of the youths impacts on the design by presenting the young people’s wishes in the dialogue and their wishes representation in the final plan. The study also examines how factors such as commitment, power and trust influenced the dialogue, and compares it to Swedish Association of local Authorities and Regions’s principles for a meaningful youth dialogue. The results show a customized youth dialogue with a high degree of citizen power. The discussion highlights the impact that the youth had on the design of Lina Sandell’s park and how the young people’s wishes are in line with their need to be able to access public spaces in order to socialize, play and develop skills.
