Abstract

Syftet med detta arbete var att genom den regenerativa metoden ta fram ett gestaltningsförslag för odlingsexperiment 2000 kvm på Rosendals trädgård och omkringliggande landskap. Som landskapsarkitekter var uppgiften att knyta samman experimentet 2000 kvm med omgivande landskap - denna plats ska kunna upplevas och läsas som en helhet, med berättelsen om matkulturen i centrum. Resultatet börjar med en litteraturstudie som visade hur fem principer; regeneration, mönster, plats, platsens berättelse och potential tolkades för att sedan implementeras i gestaltningen av experimentet 2000 kvm. Förutom litteraturstudien gjordes intervjuer, platsanalyser, och slutligen en illustrationsplan. Slutsatsen blev att den regenerativa metoden kan användas som ett ramverk för en landskapsarkitekt, men att egna tolkningar är nödvändiga. Principerna och de olika begreppen inom metoden kan hjälpa landskapsarkitekten att lättare strukturera sitt arbete och få en helhetsbild över vad som ska gestaltas. Få exempel finns där den regenerativa metoden har använts framgångsrikt i denna skala inom landskapsarkitektur, vilket öppnar för vidare studier inom området.

The purpose of this work was to produce, through the regenerative method, a design proposal for the cultivation experiments 2000 square meters on Rosendal's garden and surrounding landscape. As landscape architects, our contribution is to link the experiment 2000 sqm with surrounding landscapes - this place should be perceived and read as an entirety, with the story of the food culture in center. The result starts with a literature study which describes how five principles; regeneration, pattern, place, story of place and potential are interpreted and then implemented in the design of the experiment 2000 sqm. In addition to the literature study there were interviews, site analysis and eventually an illustration plan. The conclusion was that the regenerative method can be used as a framework for a landscape architect, but it’s necessary to add own interpretations. The principles and different concepts in the method can help the landscape architect to more easily structure the work and get an overall picture of the design. Few examples exist where the regenerative method has been successfully used on this scale in landscape architecture, which opens for further study in the field.
