Abstract

Examensarbetets syfte är att med invånarnas delaktighet utforma ett planprogram med mål
och strategier för utvecklingen av Malins park som svarar mot dagens behov och ger förutsättningar
för en socialt hållbar utemiljö. Vi har med detta examensarbete utfört en medborgardialog i två steg.
Med utgångspunkt i resultatet av medborgardialogen och teorier om social hållbarhet har ett
program utarbetats som kan ligga till grund för den fortsatta utvecklingen av Malins park.

Malins park ligger i stadsdelen Ör i Sundbyberg och är ett bostadsområde som uppfördes i
mitten av 60-talet som en del av miljonprogrammet. Sundbybergs stad har nu för avsikt att
utveckla Malins park så att den blir en attraktiv stadsdelspark. Kommunen framhåller i sin
handlingsplan för området att man ska fokusera på den sociala hållbarheten i det fortsatta
utvecklingsarbetet.
Flera olika metoder kombinerades i dialogprocessen för att täcka in olika former av
delaktighet och nå flera olika målgrupper. Dialogen delades upp i två steg där steg 2 innebar
en fördjupning och bearbetning av steg 1. Dialog steg 1 bestod av tre delar: öppet hus, enkät
och gåtur. Syftet med Dialog steg 1 var att få en övergripande förståelse för parken och få en
bild av de behov som fanns. Dialog steg 2 utgjordes av två workshops. Den ena med
närboende och den andra med en dagmammegrupp.
Ett övergripande planprogram utarbetades med åtgärdsförslag för parken. Programförslaget
bygger på fyra stycken riktlinjer som utformades utifrån dialogresultaten. Dessa är: Skapa
bättre trygghet och motverka att parken blir ett tillhåll, Gör parken till en plats för alla, Skapa
en identitet genom att göra parken unik och Gör parken till en målpunkt och en del av det
sociala stråket. Programmet presenteras med en illustrationsplan, en sektion genom parken
samt illustrationsbilder och referensbilder.

The aim of this master thesis is to design a program that sets goals and strategies for the
development of Malin’s park. The program is based on the opinions and ideas from the
residents of Ör, the theory of social sustainability as well as our analysis of the park. The
programme can be used by the city of Sundbyberg to further develop the park.
Ör is a residential district in Sundbyberg which is located about ten kilometres northwest of
Stockholms City centre. Ör was built in the mid-sixties as a part of "miljonprogrammet", the
public housing programme between 1965-1974 in which large scale residential areas were
built to eliminate the housing shortage in Sweden. The municipality now has the intention to
make Malin’s park into an attractive district park. The city of Sundbyberg emphasizes in its
action plan for the area that they intend to focus on social sustainability in future
development projects .
Several different methods were combined in the dialogue process to involve various forms of
participation and reach several different user groups. The dialogue was divided in two steps
where step 2 is a more thorough and in depth conversation than that in step 1. The first step
contained three parts: open house, survey and "walk". The purpose of the first part was to
get an overall understanding of the park area and get an overview of the people’s needs.
Step 2 of the dialogue consisted of two workshops. The first one of these workshops was
held with a group of local residents. While the second one was held with a group of local
daytime carers.
We designed a programme based on four guidelines that were developed from the results of
the dialogue. These are: Improve security, make the park inviting for many different user
groups, increase the park’s identity, make this park a destination point and include it in the
social area of the district. The programme is presented with a plan, a section through the
park and illustrations.
