Abstract

Sverige har under de senaste åren tagit emot många asylsökande. En stor del av dem blir placerade i landsbygdskommuner där det är lättare att hitta boende. När asyltiden har passerat är det vissa som får uppehållstillstånd, och för dessa väntar en integrationsprocess som civil-samhället till stor del tar ansvar för. Civilsamhället har ansvar för flera dimensioner av integ-ration. I denna studie kommer framförallt den sociala integrationen att lyftas genom intervjuer med deltagare i några av civilsamhällets verksamheter. Huvudfrågorna är: Vilken funktion har civilsamhället i skapandet av mötesplatser för integration? Hur får man tillgång till dessa? Vilken roll har mötesplatserna? Denna studie återger och lyfter den berättelse som de inter-vjuade har delgivit. Med hjälp av teoretiska begrepp och observationer har en djupdykning varit möjlig. Studien är avgränsad till integration mellan ungdomar inom fem olika ideella verksamheter i tätorten Lindesberg. Teoretiska begrepp som använts är kollektivt handlande, kollektiv identitet, social tillit och överbryggande/sammanbindande socialt kapital. I Lindes-berg är engagemanget från civilsamhällets sida omfattande. Det finns många organiserade mötesplatser där ungdomar kan träffas. Dessa platser behövs för att kollektivet ska kunna handla tillsammans och skapa trygghet. Att få tillgång till dem är dock inte alltid självklart vilket beror på ett antal komponenter. På mötesplatserna finns tillit mellan deltagarna som i sin tur sprids till resten av lokalsamhället.

In recent years Sweden has received a large number of refugees seeking asylum. A large part of them have been located to rural communities where it is easier to find accommodation. In the event of asylum seekers getting residence permits, they will have to be integrated in the society. The local civil society takes on a large responsibility for this process. The responsi-bility of the civil society to integrate people has many dimensions; in this study the focus is on social integration. The study is made through interviews with participants in some of the civil society activities. The main questions are: What is the function of civil society in the creation of venues for integration? How do you get access to them? And which roles do these venues play? It is a study that reflects and highlights the story that the interviewees have communicated. With the help of theoretical concepts and observations it has been possible to go under the surface. The study is limited to the inclusion of young people in five different non-profit activities in the rural area Lindesberg. Theoretical concepts used are collective action, collective identity, social trust and bridging/bonding social capital.
