Abstract

Samhället är idag mycket beroende av energi. En stor del av energiproduktionen sker idag med hjälp av fossila bränslen, som har en stor påverkan på växthuseffekten. Enligt Sveriges riksdags miljömål ska klimatutsläppen minskas med 40 % till år 2020. Ett led i att lyckas med den minskningen är att öka produktionen av förnyelsebar energi. Solenergi är en förnyelsebar energiproduktion som kan bidra till minskad miljöpåverkan.
Syftet med studien är att på en grundläggande nivå ta fram en kalkylmall som kan underlätta beslutsprocessen för lantbruksföretag i olika delar av landet vid investering i solenergi. I studien har vi undersökt flera bakomliggande ekonomiska faktorer som påverkar en investering i solceller. De ekonomiska faktorer som har störst inverkan på investeringen är om företaget får statligt investeringsstöd eller inte och vilket pris företaget får för den sålda överskottselektriciteten. En viktig faktor som påverkar produktionen för anläggningen är i vilket väderstreck anläggningen är placerad, en placering i direkt söderläge är mest effektivt. Genom att placera en fiktiv gård på tre olika platser i landet har vi kunnat studera vilken inverkan placeringen har på investeringen. En anläggning placerad på sydligare breddgrad i landet gav en lägre investeringskostnad per producerad kilowattimme.
Metoden i studien har varit att genomföra tre fallstudier där vi belyser tre olika utfall för vardera fallstudie av investeringen. De utfall av fallstudierna som var mest ekonomiskt försvarbart innefattade att företaget fick både statligt investeringsstöd och högt pris på såld överskottselektricitet. Beroende på placering i landet gav det bästa utfallet av investeringen en vinstmarginal mellan 39 % och 41 %. Det sämsta utfallet gav en vinstmarginal mellan minus 11 % och minus 15 % för investeringen.
Vi tycker solceller är intressanta att investera i ur flera aspekter. Speciellt med tanke på det ekonomiska resultaten från vissa av utfallen som beskrivs i studien.

The community is very depended of energy. A big amount of the energy production today is made from fossil fuels that have a big impact on greenhouse gases. According to the Swedish governments environmental targets we have to reduce the climate emissions with 40 % until year 2020. One way to reduce the climate emissions is to produce more renewable energy. Photovoltaic is one of the renewable energy types that can help us to reduce our impact on the environment.
The purpose with the study is to create a calculation tool in a basic level to determine if it´s profitable for agricultural companies to invest in photovoltaic, depending on where in Sweden they are located. In the study we investigated several economic factors that affects if it´s interesting to invest in photovoltaic or not. The financial factors that have biggest impact on the investment are if the company gets the government investment support and the price that the company gets paid for the sold electricity. One other factor that has a big impact is in which cardinal the facility is build, the most profitable cardinal is south. To figure out how the location of the facility impacts the cost of the investment we made a fictive farm that we placed in three different locations in the country. The facility that was placed on a more southern latitude had a lower cost per produced kilowatt hour.
The method in the study is to make three case studies that looks in three different outcomes for the investment. The most profitable outcome of the case studies was when the company got both the government investment support and a high price for the sold electricity. Depending on the location in the country the best outcome gave a profit margin between 39 % and 41 %. The worst outcome gave a profit margin between minus 11 % and minus 15 % for the investment.
We think photovoltaic is very interesting to invest in according to several different reasons. Specially consider the profit margin in some of the outcome in the study.
