Abstract

Syftet med detta arbete är att ge förslag på några generella principer för strategisk lokalisering av lekplatser. Principerna ska ligga till grund för en
studie i Landskrona där ett åtgärdsförslag för lokaliseringen av lekplatser ges.
Genom litteraturstudier undersöks vilka faktorer i den fysiska miljön som kan påverka behov och användning av lekplatser. De faktorer som enligt studien kan påverka behovet av lekplatser är hur trafi kerat ett område är,
vilken tillgång till natur som fi nns, samt hur många barn det bor i området.
De faktorer som påverkar användningen av en lekplats är hur den ligger i förhållandet till vägar, grönområden och bebyggelse.
I arbetet tas några lokaliseringsprinciper fram för att beskriva hur dessa faktorer kan mätas. Mätningen görs för att bedöma hur många lekplatser som behövs samt vilken placering som kan gynna deras användning. Bedömningen av hur
många lekplatser som behövs görs genom att mäta förhållandet mellan antalet barn och områdestyp. Bedömningen av lekplatsernas placering görs genom
ett värderingschema där placeringen poängsätts utifrån sitt förhållande till de olika faktorerna som påverkar användningen.
Genom en studie i Landskrona prövas lokaliseringsprinciperna och ett åtgärdsförslag för lokaliseringen av lekplatser ges. En jämförelse mellan hur
många lekplatser som behövs enligt mätningen, och antalet lekplatser som finns idag ger en anvisning om vilka områden som har överskott respektive underskott på lekplatser. I åtgärdsförslaget rekommenderas sedan vilka lekplatser som bör avvecklas samt var nya lekplatser kan placeras. Förslag
ges också på lekplatser som bör utvecklas för att skapa större variation mellan lekplatserna.
I slutreflektionen diskuteras bland annat resultatet av åtgärdsförslaget utifrån en intervju med parkpersonal från Landskrona stad. Utöver en teoretisk bedömning av lokaliseringsprinciperna är det viktigt att förslaget kopplas till verkligheten genom platsbesök och undersökningar bland invånare.

The aim of this work is to propose some general principles for the strategic location of playgrounds. The principles will be the basis for a study in Landskrona where a draft measure for the location of playgrounds is provided.
In a literature study factors in the physical environment that may affect the need and use of playgrounds are examined. Factors that according to the study can infl uence the need for playgrounds are traffi c of an area, the access to nature, and the number of children living in the area. Factors affecting the use playgrounds can be its relation to roads, green areas and buildings.
The work includes some principles for localization of playgrounds developed to describe how these factors can be measured. The measurement is made to determine how many playgrounds that are needed and what placement can
benefit their use. How many playgrounds that are needed can be determined through measuring the ratio between the number of children and the type of area. The assessment the placement of playgrounds is done through a valuation scheme based on their relationship to the various factors that affect their use.
Through a study in Landskrona the localization principles are implemented, and a draft measure for the location of playgrounds provided. A comparison of how many playgrounds needed according to the survey and the number of
existing playgrounds gives an indication of which areas that have surplus or deficit of playgrounds. The proposal includes recommendations about which playgrounds should be dismantled and where new playgrounds can be placed.
Proposals are also given on which playgrounds should be developed further to create more variation between the playgrounds.
In the final reflection results of the proposal is discussed on the basis of an interview with park staff from the city of Landskrona. Besides a theoretical
evaluation of localization principles, it is important that the proposal is related to reality through site visits and surveys among the users.
