Abstract

Uppsatsen upplägg börjar med en fördjupning i litteraturen. Här sammanställer jag information och drar slutsatser kring barns lek och miljöanvändning som jag uppfattar som viktiga utgångspunkter för arbetet. Litteraturinblicken skall ge en förståelse för hur barn tänker och upplever sin lekmiljö. Målgruppen är barn från 1 till 12 år. Undersökningen består av två huvudmoment, miljöanalys och gåturer. Ur ett landskapsperspektiv studerar jag området i fält genom att dokumentera med foto och anteckningar. Fältstudien utgör sedan grunden för en beskrivande miljöanalys av platsen. Miljöanalysen beskriver platsens utseende med rumsbildningar, flora och fauna samt områdets förutsättningar för rekreation idag. Därefter följer en analys utifrån ett miljöpsykologiskt perspektiv som baseras på den inledande litteraturen och som genomförs samtidigt med besök (gåturer) i området tillsammans med barn. Materialet i sin helhet analyseras och sammanfattas utifrån olika perspektiv på området: barnens, de vuxna samt mitt eget landskapsperspektiv på området. Uppsatsen avslutas med förslag på övergripande strategier för utvecklingen av området och konkreta exempel på utvecklande av huvudslinga, stationer och modifieringar av vegetationen. Förslagsdelen tar sin utgångspunkt i analysen och innehåller skapande moment och avstämning med andra informanter för att få fram ett förslag som kan fungera som utgångspunkt för förändringsarbetet. Här ges exempel på åtgärder och utformning av området. Slutligen följer en diskussion om uppsatsens upplägg.

This paper starts with a study of literature in the field of environmental psychology. Here I locate relevant information concerning children’s play and environmental use which I interpret as important starting points for this work. The information from the literature contributes to a better understanding for how children thinks and experience their playenvironment. The target group are children from one to twelve years of age. The investigation consist of two main parts: an environmental analysis and walks (visits in the area with children). The first analysis of the place is made out of a landscape perspective point of view. Here I make field studies in the area and document with photo and field notes. The field study makes the base for an describing environmental analysis of the place. It describes the place appearances with rooms, flora and fauna and the areas prerequisite for recreation today. It is followed by an analysis out of an environmental psychological perspective based on the literature. The analysis is made with visits in the area together with children and walks. The material is analysed in its whole and discussed with three different perspectives: the children’s, the adults and my own landscape perspective of the area. The paper is finished with a proposal on strategies of how to develop the area and with concrete examples on the drawing of a head path through the area with stations and modifications of the vegetation. The proposal part is based on the analysis but also contains creating efforts and a feedback to other informations to bring out a proposal that can work as a starting-point for the development of the area. Here examples are given of measures and shaping of the area. In the end follows a discussion of the papers arrangement.
