Abstract

I detta arbete granskas olika illustrationsplaner för att undersöka huruvida
illustrationsplaner har ett gemensamt planspråk. Många plandokument inom
stadsplanering och landskapsarkitektur har riktlinjer eller regler på hur olika
element inom planen ska illustreras. Men till skillnad från dessa plandokument
finns det inga officiella riktlinjer som hänvisar till illustrationsplaner. Trots detta
finns likheter inom illustrationsplanernas form- och planspråk.
I arbetet diskuteras även planspråkets koppling till planens läsförståelse. Hur ett
genomgående planspråk kan hjälpa läsaren att förstå gestaltarens budskap. Arbetet
tar även upp vad som händer med läsförståelsen när gestaltaren bryter från det
genomgående planspråket.
Slutligen diskuteras framtida illustrationsplaner och hur den digitala utvecklingen
har påverkat illustrationsplanernas form- och planspråk.

In this study, various illustrational plans are examined to determine whether
illustrational plans have a common illustration language. Many planning documents
in urban planning and landscape architecture have guidelines or rules on how
different elements within the plan should be illustrated. However, unlike these
planning documents, there are no official guidelines that refer to Illustrational plans.
Despite this, there are similarities within the form and design language of the
illustrational plan.
This study also discusses the illustration language's connection to the plan's reading
comprehension and how a consistent illustration language can help the reader to
understand the illustrator's message with the plan. This study also addresses what
happens to the reading comprehension when the illustrator breaks away from the
overall illustration language.
Finally, this study discusses the future of illustrational plans and how digitalisation
has affected the design and illustration language of illustrational plans.
