Abstract

Fler och fler kommuner har de senaste åren börjat konvertera konventionella gräsmattor till ängsmark, med fokus på att främja vilda pollinatörer. Linkö�pings kommun är en av dessa, som i och med projektet har ställts inför vissa utmaningar gällande allmänhetens acceptans för de nya ängsytorna. Syftet med arbetet är att undersöka hur gestaltningsmodeller kan utvecklas för att höja ängsytornas upplevelsevärden. Genom skiss bearbetas teori och iakttagelser från referenslandskapsstudier, för att mynna ut i modeller som sedan prövas på tre ängsytor i Linköpings kommun. Genom design- och skötselmetoder så som klippta gångar och rum, artberikning, eller tillägg av olika strukturella element kan ängarna troligtvis upplevas som mer omskötta, tillgängliga, trygga eller stimulerande delar av den urbana grönstrukturen.

During the last couple of years, an increasing amount of Swedish municipa�lities has started to convert conventional lawns into hay-making meadows in favour for wild pollinators. Linköping municipality which is one of these, has encountered challenges concerning the public’s acceptance for these areas. The aim of this study is to examine how general design models can be developed, to enhance recreational values in the new meadows. Theory and observations from reference landscapes, are processed through sketching and developed into general design models. These are then modified and tested on three example areas in Linköping municipality. Through design and management methods such as mowed paths or rooms, the introduction of new species, or the adding of different structural elements - the meadows could potentially be perceived as better cared for as well as more accessible, safe and stimulating parts of the urban green structure.
