Abstract

Detta arbete studerar och tar fram ett gestaltningsförslag för små ytor intill entrédörrarna till en galleria i Tensta centrum, Stockholm. Syftet med gestaltningsförslaget var att ta fram ett förslag som skapar färre hinder och fler aktivitetsmöjligheter på ytorna. Med hjälp av analyser och flödesobservationer framgick att ytorna består i dagsläget av element som skapar hinder för de gående på de berörda ytorna. Dessutom saknar ytorna element som lockar till aktiviteter. För att ta fram ett gestaltningsförslag som gör ytorna mer tillgängliga och inbjudande för fler aktiviteter utgick arbetet från aspekter kring utformningen av offentliga rum som kan öka antalet aktiviteter på en plats. Aspekter som utgicks ifrån och som tillämpades i arbetet var bland annat variation och förändringar i det offentliga rummet som lockar människor till att stanna upp och utforska platsen. Även att skapa motiv och mål med en plats för att motivera människor till att ta sig ut och vistas där ökar antalet aktiviteter på platsen. En till avgörande aspekt är att kunna röra sig fritt och lätt kunna ta sig till platsen. Åtgärder som behövde göras på ytorna omfattar borttagning av element som finns idag samt tillägg av element som kan bjuda in till fler aktiviteter på ytorna. Resultatet som tagits fram visar potential att uppfylla arbetets syfte att skapa hinderfria ytor med fler aktivitetsmöjligheter.

This paper studies and develops a design proposal for small areas next to the entrance doors to a shopping mall in Tensta centrum, Stockholm. The purpose of the design proposal was to produce a proposal that creates fewer obstacles and more activity opportunities on these areas. With the help of analysis and flow observations, it was found that the areas today consist of elements that create obstacles for the pedestrians. Furthermore, the areas lack elements that attract activities. In order to present a design proposal that makes the areas more accessible and inviting, the work was based on aspects in the design of public spaces that can increase the number of activities in a place. Aspects that was used in this paper were, among other things, variation and changes in the public space that attracts people to stop and explore the place. Also, creating motives and goals to a place to motivate people to get out and stay there increases the number of activities on the site. Another crucial aspect is being able to move freely and have easy access to the place. Measures that needed to be done on the areas include the removal of elements that exist today as well as the addition of elements that can invite more activities to the areas. The result obtained shows potential to fulfill the purpose of this paper which is to create obstacle-free surfaces with more opportunities for activities.
