Abstract

The forestry industry in Sweden is dependent on a well-functioning transport chain from landing site to different industries. Timber vehicles dominate the transport of forestry products. The drivers of these vehicles need the competence to transport forestry products, to be safety conscious, and to create good routines for loading and unloading of forestry products. The purpose of this work is to enable VMF Qbera to use the report as a base to create an education for timber drivers. The aim of this report was to develop a proposal for education for timber drivers from landing site to industry or different industries. To describe the contents of the education material and to describe how the education can be accomplished. The method used in this report was literature study.
The results show a proposal of the educational materials consisting of three parts. The first part is individual studies available through an online course. The online course is divided into different chapters. These chapters are: studies of forest roads and vehicles, different systems of accounting for the forest industry and important documents of transportation, loading timber and different sawmill products and transportation of timber, measurement of wood and unloading of round wood and forestry products, regulations of safety and unloading in the industrial area. In the second part, the driver will participate in a field day exercise. During the field day demonstrations of how the driver shall practically apply their theoretical knowledge are performed. In the third part the driver shall do an online test, which if passed, will lead to them obtaining a certificate for the course. An evaluation of this educational course would be interesting to pursue. Feedback can be used for changes and future improvement of the content.

Skogsindustrierna i Sverige är beroende av en fungerande transportkedja från avlägg till olika industrier. Virkesfordon dominerar transporter av skogsprodukter. Transportören behöver kompetens för att transportera skogsråvara, vara säkerhetsmedveten och skapa goda rutiner för lastning och lossning av skogsprodukter. Målsättningen med arbetet är att VMF Qbera skall kunna använda rapporten som underlag till en utbildning för transportörer. Syftet med arbetet var att utveckla ett förslag till utbildning för transportörer från avlägg till industri eller olika industrier. Beskriva innehåll i utbildningen samt beskriva hur utbildningen kan genomföras. I rapporten användes metoden litteraturstudie.
Resultatet visar ett förslaget till utbildningen bestående av tre delar. Första delen av utbildningen består av självstudier som finns tillgängligt på webben. Självstudiedelen innehåller olika avsnitt. Avsnitten består av: studier om skogsbilvägar och fordon, olika redovisningssystem och viktiga dokument för virkestransport inom skogsindustrin, lastning av virke och olika sågverksprodukter samt transport av virke, Inmätning av virke och lossning av rundvirke och sönderdelade produkter, samt säkerhetsföreskrifter vid lossningsplatsen. Andra delen av utbildningen är en fältdag. Under fältdagens demonstreras hur transportören praktiskt ska tillämpa teoretiska kunskaperna. I tredje delen av utbildningen ska transportören avlägga ett prov på webben innan transportören erhåller ett utbildningsbevis. En utvärdering av utbildningen för transportörer skulle vara intressant att genomföra. Synpunkter på innehållet kan vara användbara för förändring och framtida utveckling av utbildningen.
