Abstract

Fältet ”grön integration” växer i Sverige, inom vilket flertalet aktörer driver olika integrationsprojekt. Detta i en näring med endast ca 150 företagare födda utanför EU. Syftet med den här uppsatsen är att undersöka vilka faktorer som påverkar utrikesfödda i deras företagande inom de gröna näringarna, och att beskriva deras erfarenheter. Genom fem halvstrukturerade intervjuer bygger uppsatsen på fyra
företagares, samt en eventuellt framtida företagares upplevelser. Med hjälp av sociologen Pierre Bourdieus begrepp habitus och kapital analyseras informanternas
utsagor. Som undantag i de gröna näringarna sätter informanterna ljuset på hur integrationen ligger i sin linda på området, trots att Sverige haft nettoinvandring sedan efter andra världskriget. Men informanterna utgör även själva en del i att förändra näringarna genom att gå utanför det självklara. Uppsatsen gör inget anspråk på att fastställa faktorer, då informanterna främst består av dem som lyckats. Vissa teman särskiljer sig dock som värda att utforska i framtiden, såsom att ta jordbruket för givet genom att ha det i uppväxten. Även tidigare företagande, förekomsten av sociala nätverk, liksom ekonomiska tillgångar utgör viktiga faktorer som påverkat informanterna i denna uppsats. Trots rötter inom jordbruk kräver de lokala förutsättningarna ny kunskap, vilket visar att kunskaper är platsbundna och omvärderas i och med migrationen. Det tar tid att bygga upp ny kunskap. Individens historia och förväntningar, liksom samhällets historia och förväntningar bestämmer vad som är görbart, och det är därför individer kan utgöra undantag och förändra strukturen.

The field of “green integration” (meaning integration in relation to agriculture) is growing in Sweden, with several agricultural organizations pursuing projects in
integration. In this sector only approx. 150 entrepreneurs are born outside the EU. The purpose of this bachelor’s thesis is to contribute to an understanding of which
factors are affecting entrepreneurs born outside of Europe in the agricultural sector, and to describe their experiences. The thesis builds upon five semi-structured interviews, held with four entrepreneurs and one possibly future entrepreneur. The statements of the interviewees are analysed through the notions of habitus and capital,
concepts of the sociologist Pierre Bourdieu. As exceptions in the agricultural sector, the interviewees themselves are both the evidence of a failure of integration, and part of a change by moving outside of the obvious. It is, however, impossible to determine factors in this study due to survivorship bias. But some themes are distinguishable
as interesting future areas of study, such as to take the agriculture for granted as a result of being a part of one’s childhood. Also, previous entrepreneurship, the presence of a social network and financial resources seem to be important factors. Despite of a background in agriculture, the local conditions are unfamiliar, which show that some knowledge is space dependent and revalued in the course of
migrating. It takes time to build new knowledge. The history and the preconditions of the individual, as well as the history and the preconditions of the society decide what is possible and what is not, and that is why individuals can be exceptions, and why exceptions can change the structure.
