Abstract

Perspektivbilden är ett av de mest effektiva sätten att kommunicera en idé på,
inte minst i mötet mellan arkitekt och allmänhet. I den här uppsatsen granskas
fyrtio olika perspektivbilder skapade av Sveriges största arkitektgruppers
landskapsavdelningar. I centrum för granskningen står skalfigurerna, de
människor som befolkar illustrationerna. Dessa värdebärande figurer sänder ut
signaler till betraktaren som vi som blivande landskapsarkitekter kanske inte
alltid är medvetna om. Genom sammanställning av ett statistiskt underlag som
sedan jämförs med hur Sveriges demografi faktiskt ser ut, kan ett antal frågor
besvaras: Representeras Sveriges faktiska befolkningssammansättning i någon
mån av samlingen skalfigurer i bilden? Om så inte är fallet, vem är representerad
och vem är det inte? Syftet med uppsatsen är att ta reda på huruvida skalfigurerna
i perspektivbilder representerar norm eller verklighet, liksom att problematisera
kring hur fotografiska avbildningar av verkliga personer används i dessa bilder.

The perspective image is one of the most effective means to communicate an
idea, especially in meeting between architect and the general public. In this
paper, forty different perspective images created by Sweden's largest
architectural groups' landscape departments are reviewed. The focus of the audit
are on the scale figures, the people who populate the illustrations. These valuebearing
characters send out signals to the beholder that we, as future landscape
architects, may not always be aware of. By compiling a statistical basis, which is
then compared with Sweden's actual demography, a number of questions can be
answered: Is Sweden’s factual population structure to any extent represented by
the collection of scale figures in the picture? If not, who is represented and who
is not? The purpose of this paper is to find out whether the scale figures in
perspective images represent norm or reality, as well as to problematize on the
way that photographic images of actual people are used in said images.
