Abstract
During the autumn of 2007 I attended a course in plant
composition in Alnarp. The main task during the course
was to make a proposal for a theme garden that was going
to represent the school at an exhibition in the Garden
Society in Göteborg, during the summer of 2008. The
theme for the garden was set to “sustainable development”
and we had fully two weeks to work with the proposal.
I won the competition and during the spring and
summer of 2008 I developed and realized my idea. The
garden exhibition was inaugurated the 28th of June and
was open until the 28th of September. In the thesis I have
made an account for the whole working process, from the
course in plant composition to the final result and what
followed after that. The work ends with a reflecting part
about the theme garden as phenomenon.
