Abstract
This project investigates Saudi Arabia's agrotechnology transfer process. This study examines the challenges and opportunities for Saudi Arabia to effectively transfer
technologies that are a good fit for the natural landscape while helping to ensure future food security. Geographically, the lack of arable land, hot temperatures, water shortages, air pollution, and increasing population are some of the problems supporting the need for
this study. The study employed two methods of data collection: a) A case in point focusing on Almarai's dairy project and agrotechnology transfer initiative for agriculture production and b) a survey, which will be employed in this research to extract experts'
opinions on challenges and opportunities that might enhance future agrotechnology processes in Saudi Arabia. This research distributed two versions of the survey: N = 9
participants for the English version and N = 29 for the Arabic version. The case in point and the survey response rate and responses point to some successes in building the
agrotechnology transfer process versus importing agrotechnology. At the same time, the data suggests that Saudi Arabia needs more consistent and coordinated investment in knowledge development to ensure the sustainability of its efforts and its compatibility
with the local culture and environment. Saudi Arabia could achieve remarkable results by focusing on agricultural knowledge transfer systems that improve the necessary infrastructure to build a robust agrotechnology transfer process. At the same time, consider the challenging landscapes and water shortages by switching from landscape agrotechnology projects to urban agro technologies and focusing on animals that are part of the landscape fixture for food sustainability.
