Abstract

Genom en tydligt formulerad och etablerad ledarstrategi i företaget kan man lättare säkerställa att samtliga inom organisationen är motiverade till att prestera och förbättra produktionsresultaten. Ledarskap inom grisnäringen är dock ett relativt orört ämne som skulle behöva definieras i en praktisk kontext. På grund utav storleksrationalisering ökat med tiden och så även antalet medarbetare bland gårdarna. Detta leder till att ägarna ställs inför en större utmaning där det krävs att ledarskapet i organisationen effektiviseras och erhåller en tydlig strategi. Denna studien erhåller en kvalitativ metod med kapslad fallkontrollstudie och deduktiv samt induktiv ansats. Den deduktiva ansatsen utvecklade en formulerad hypotes för forskningsområdet och den induktiva delen utfördes i form av en intervju som genomfördes tillsammans med en ägare av svensk smågrisproduktion, vars organisation omfattade 25 medarbetare. Studiens resultat erbjöd information om vilka skillnader som ligger till grund för hypotes och fallgård, för att understryka den effektivaste kombinationen av organisation och ledarskap.

Through a clearly formulated and established management strategy in the company, it can be ensured that everyone within the organization is motivated to perform and improve production results. However, leadership in the pig industry is a relatively untouched subject that would need to be defined in a practical context. Size rationalization increases over time and the number of employees increases among the farms. This leads to the owners facing a greater challenge where it is required that the leadership in the organization is streamlined and receives a clear strategy. The study receives a qualitative case study with a deductive approach together with a semi-structured interview. The deductive approach developed a formulated hypothesis for the research area and the interview was held together with an owner of Swedish piglet production, whose organization included 25 employees. The results of the study offered information about the differences that underlie hypotheses and pitfalls, to emphasize the most effective combination of organization and leadership.
