Abstract

Genom en tydligt formulerad och implementerad vision kan organisationer säkerställa att samtliga inom organisationen arbetar mot samma syfte, mål och riktning. Dock tycks flera organisationer sakna en tydligt definierad vision. Denna studie undersöker hur organisationers vision bidrar till att ena organisationen i styrningen mot en gemensam riktning. En kvalitativ metod har använts med en induktiv ansats och semistrukturerade intervjuer. Intervjuer genomfördes hos tre organisationer med tre personer från varje organisation: VD, mellanchef och medarbetare. Den insamlade empirin visade att organisationsstrukturen, organisationskulturen, det strategiska arbetet samt förståelsen och tillämpbarheten av visionen var de påverkande faktorerna för implementeringen. Författarna kom fram till att en vision kan anses betydande i arbetet för att ena organisationen i styrningen mot en gemensam riktning.

Through a well formulated and implemented vision organisations can make sure that every part of the organisation works towards the same object, goal and direction. However, it seems that many organisations lack a defined vision. This study researches how organisations' visions contribute to uniting the organisation in the direction towards a common goal. A qualitative method has been used with an inductive approach and semi structured interviews. The interviews were made on three organisations with three people from each organisation: CEO, manager and co-worker. The collected empirical data showed that the organisational structure, the organisational culture, the strategical work and the understanding and applicability of the vision was the affecting factors for the implementation. The authors concluded that a vision can be considered significant in the work to unite the organisation in the guidance towards a common goal.
