Abstract

Studien undersökte förutsättningarna för nyttjande av effluenten från biogasrötkammare på RecoLab i Helsingborg, med syftet att framställa ett CE-märkt flytande organiskt gödselmedel. Substraten matavfall, klosett- och gråvatten gicks igenom utifrån dess näringsinnehåll, legaliteten kring dess användning, samt hur väl de fungerade processmässigt för framställningen av gödselprodukten. Resultatet visade att samtliga substrat hade förhållandevis låga näringsvärden där indunstning bedömdes som den mest effektiva metoden att nå den koncentration som märkningen krävde, men den var samtidigt förknippad med driftsproblem vid hög volymreduktion. Sammantaget visade studien att det är teoretiskt möjligt att nå upp till kraven om matavfall används som substrat.

The study examined the conditions for the use of effluent from biogas digesters at RecoLab in Helsingborg, with the aim of producing a CE-marked liquid organic fertilizer. The substrates “food waste”, “toilet-“ and “greywater” were reviewed based on its nutrient content, the legality of its use, and how well they worked in terms of process for the production of the fertilizer product. The results showed that all substrates had relatively low nutritional values where evaporation was judged to be the most effective method of reaching the concentration required, but it was also associated with operational problems at high volume reduction. Overall, the study showed that it is theoretically possible to meet the requirements if food waste is used as the substrate.
