Abstract

Allt mer förlitar vi oss på receptbelagd konventionell medicin som finns att köpa i apotek, även om den kan ha kraftiga biverkningar. I takt med en ökad global
urbanisering tynar intresset för att förebygga sjukdomar med hjälp av fytoterapi sakta bort. Syftet med denna litteraturstudie var att beskriva ett antal arter med
läkande effekter, som går att finna i svensk natur. Tanken är att informationen som förmedlas i denna studie ska öka intresset för att skörda och förbereda
växtmaterial som kan brukas i läkande syfte. Kriterierna för de arter som inkluderats i uppsatsen är att de (i) är vildväxande i Sverige, (ii) är tillåtna att
plocka samt att (iii) de har läkande egenskaper, som stödjs av vetenskapliga belägg. Den information som behandlas i arbetet kommer framför allt ifrån
Sveriges lantbruksuniversitets fysiska bibliotek i Alnarp, samt tillhörande databaser för sökning av vetenskapliga artiklar. Resultatet av studien pekar på att det inte är särskilt svårt att skörda och bearbeta växter i syfte att uppnå en förbättrad hälsa. Kunskap om verksamma substanser samt hur man utvinner dessa
är dock nödvändig för att växterna ska kunna bidra med önskvärd effekt.

We are increasingly relying on conventional, prescription-based medicine, which can be purchased at a pharmacy, even though it can have devastating side-effects.
As the global urbanization rapidly increases, the interest in preventing diseases with the help of phytotherapy is slowly fading. The purpose of this study was to describe a selection of plants with healing effects, which can be found in Swedish nature. The idea is that the information conveyed in this essay will contribute to an increasing interest in harvesting and preparing plant material that can be used for healing purposes. The criteria for the species included in the thesis are that they (i) grow wild in Sweden, (ii) are allowed to pick and (iii) that they have healing properties, which are supported by scientific evidence. The information processed in the work originates mainly from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences' physical library in Alnarp, as well as associated databases for searching for scientific articles. The results of the study indicate that it is relatively easy to harvest and use wild plants in order to achieve improved health, although knowledge about bioactive compounds and how to extract these compounds is required if we want the plants to contribute with the desired effect.
