Abstract

Detta arbete är en studie av tre idéskissers arbetsprocess från landskapsanalys till idé med dess innehåll och resultat. Idéskisser undersöker de potentiella möjligheter som finns hos en plats, ett område eller landskap. De idéskisser som studeras är utifrån ett planeringsperspektiv i kommunal kontext, med rollen att fungera som ett underlag i framtida planerings- och gestaltningsarbete.

Arbetet syftar till att öka kunskapen hos verskamma inom planering och landskapsarkitektur om hur en arbetsprocess innehållande landskapsanalyser kan se ut vid skapandet av idéskisser. Det ska underlätta för den som själv står inför uppgiften att skapa en idéskiss genom att visa på vilka angreppssätt och verktyg som kan användas.

För att ge en teoretisk bakgrund till studien av idéskisserna har en litteraturstudie om landskapsanalyser gjorts. Därefter har idéskisserna studerats på ett undersökande sätt utifrån valda mönster och teman så som syfte och mål, uppbyggnad och struktur, arbetsprocesser samt presentation och sammanställning.

Arbetet visar att landskapsanalys kan finnas med i någon form i hela idéskissens arbetsprocess. Från bakgrundsanalyser i processens början, till att använda sig av konsekvensanalys vid presentationen av ett förslag. Arbetsprocessen kan innehålla både analoga och digitala verktyg, som fotografier, inspirationsbilder, skisser, modell, dialoger, GIS, Photoshop och Illustrator. Studien visar också på att en idéskiss kan presenteras från en konceptuell nivå till en presentation med detaljerade illustrationsplaner.

This is a study of the working procedure from landscape analysis to an idea in three idea sketches, together with its contents and results. Idea sketches investigate the opportunities for development on a place, area or landscape. The type of idea sketches that are studied in this work is from a planning perspective and a municipal context in Sweden, and is the underlying material for future planning and design work.

The work aims to raise the knowledge of a work procedure that contains landscape analysis when making idea sketches, to make it easier for those who work in the planning or landscape architecture field to make an idea sketch by themselves by showing different approaches, work methods and tools.

A literature study about landscape analysis has been done as a theoretical background to the study of the idea sketches. Thereafter the idea sketches have been researched by selected patterns and themes such as purpose and goals, content and structure, work procedure and presentation.

The study shows that landscape analysis is used in all levels of the work procedure with idea sketches, from background analysis in the beginning to consequence analysis to present the impact of an idea. Both analogue and digital tools are useful when working and making idea sketches, such as photographs, inspiration pictures, sketches, models, dialogs, geographical data, Photoshop and Illustrator. The study also shows that an idea sketch can range from a conceptual level to more detail drawings.
