Abstract

Synintrycket aktiverar all vår tidigare kunskap om landskapet
skattar mest blandskog medan barrskog inte uppskattades p.g.a. dess mörka intryck. Bilister
Naturvårdsmålet förstärks nedåt i klasserna.
Generell rekreationshänsyn tas i form av bl a siktbefrämjning
• PFR-Pr oduktionsmål med förstär kt r ekr eationshänsyn.
Relationen mellan
produktion och miljövård styr skötseln. Vissa befintliga eller framtida rekreations
värden motiverar att produktionsmålet försenas.
• RS -Rekr eationsmål med skötsel.
Rekreationsmålet går före produktionsmålet All
skötsel som genomförs ska gynna rekreationsvärdet

This study has been accomplished through one literature research and two inquiry studies.
The purpose of the literature research is to put together relevant information about the subject.
The purpose of the inquiry studies has been to design an inquiry and get to know which type
of landscape and forest drivers mostly appreciate.
In the literature research has information about the landscape and its construction been put
together. The first inquiry study was performed in the queue to Bilprovningen where ehosen
persons were interviewed. The seeond inquiry study was performed through inquiries which
were sent by mail.
Both factors on and next to the road affect the human's experience of the landscape. On the
road is the experience affected by the method of travel, direction and speed. Though sight
primary is used is the experience not only visual. The impression of sight activates all our
earher knowledge about the landscape such as memories, smells and sounds. Affecting factors
inside a ear can be the company, the sound of the engine and subject of conversation.
The other part, which affects the road users experiences, is the look of the landscape. The
criteria understandinglidentity, orientation and variation/rhythm can characterize it.
Many humans have a positive sight on nature and the landscape. What is expected to be
attractive depends on which preferences the viewer has. Some types of landscapes and
components are important when creating an aesthetical attractive landscape. Examples can be
variation, landscapes that reminds us about our history, light landscapes with deciduous trees
and water in different shapes are elements that are positively experienced.
When describing a landscape it is important to understand why i t looks as it does. The factors
that form a landscape are either created by nature or culture. The scenery of the landscape
represents what nature and humans to
gether have created. The factors created by nature are
geological processes, climatologically processes and biological processes. The factors created
by culture are the humans' affection of the landscape.
There is no exact farmula within farestry how to create an aesthetical attractive forest land
scape. Even though there are some things that are worth thinking about when shaping the
forest landscape. These are form, visual force, scale, diversity, general characteristic and the
spirit of the place.
The forest next to roads can through targeted afforestation and silviculture make it easier for
road users. The forest and single trees can give optical direction, make it easier for determination of speed and distance, work as protection against wind and snow, lower blinding and
preventing cold areas.
The inquiry study shows that road users prefer arable land and wooded ground rather than city
environment. They appreciate most mixed forest while coniferous forest was not appreciated
due to its dark impression. When driving, drivers wantgoodsight for detecting possible wild
animals earlier.
D1ivers appreciate passages across to the road in order to promate sight. Some are also posi
tive to thinning trees in order to improve and maintain sight towards lakes and watercourses.
There is a slightly negative attitude against clear-cutting trees within 50 ruetres from the road.
Others appreciate thinning and clear-cutting next to the road, but with great consideration to
nature and leaving of the overlay. There is a slightly positive attitude towards traditional
silviculture next to the road.
Most people have both favourite forests and forests that are not appreciated. The favourite
forests are often characterized of that they remin d about the forests were we grown up.
Forests that are not appreciated are those that have a high density and lie close to the road.
Cutting areas are another condition that is not appreciated by the road users.
The four objects that today are used suits to a forest, which has priority on productian and/or
nature conservation. The nature object is intensified down the classes. None of the classes are
suited to recreation object. Therefore is it suitable to arrange three classes that are intended for
recreation forests like them next to the road. The classes could look as followed:
• PGR-Pr oduction object with general recreation consideration. The productian
object controls the silviculture. General recreation consideration like sight promotion
is taken.
• PIF-Pr oduction object with intensified recreation consideration. The relation
between productian and conservation restrain the silviculture. Some current or future
recreation values motivate that the productian object is delayed.
• Recreation object with silviculture.
The recreation object has higher priority than the
productian object. All silviculture that is performed is supposed to favour the recreation value.
